HealthGain's individual and family floaters provide wide coverage, discounts for girl children and single women, and cashless treatment at more than 4,000 hospitals throughout the country. Additionally, the health insurance company offers wellness services such as discounts from pharmacies, free health checkups, restoration benefits, accidental death cover without any claim renewals, and accidental rider coverage.
The HealthGain insurance plan comes in two variants, Plan A and Plan B. Both variants offer the same coverage with some minor differences. You can purchase the policy in easy installments. There are many features that make HealthGain an ideal choice, including long-term discounts, a large range of sums insured, renewal ability, a free-look cancellation, and an easy claim process.

Benefits of Reliance Health Gain Plan

  • If you are claim free for one year, the base sum insured will be increased by 33.33% up to a maximum of 100%
  • The policy under Plan A may be delayed if there is a delay in the issuance
  • 4 children and 2 adults can be covered individually by the policy.
  • If you do not make any claims for four consecutive years, your base sum insured can double twice in your lifetime
  • If you delay the settlement of cashless claims, you will be entitled to 1% (up to a maximum of 6%) of the claim amount

Inclusions of Reliance Health Gain Plan

  • A 60-day period before hospitalization is covered for pre-hospitalization expenses
  • Expenses related to post-hospitalization coverage for a period of 60 days after hospitalization
  • If a covered injury or illness requires hospitalization for more than 24 hours, it will be covered
  • Treatments provided in a daycare facility for procedures or surgeries that do not require hospitalization
  • There is a limit of Rs. 1,500 for ambulance charges under Plan A and Rs. 3,000 for ambulance charges under Plan B.
  • Up to Rs. 5 lakhs will be covered by the policy for medical expenses incurred by organ donors
  • A waiting period of three years will apply to medical expenses for home treatment of pre-existing conditions
  • A two-year period will be required for specific ailments to be covered
  • During the first 30 days of coverage, only accidental injuries will be covered
  • For a room with single occupancy, there would be rent

Exclusions of Reliance Health Gain Plan

  • Surgery for cosmetic purposes
  • Drug abuse and alcohol abuse are intentional harms done to oneself
  • There will be no coverage for treatment outside of India
  • There will be no coverage for stem cell treatments
  • No dental or surgical procedures will be covered
  • Treatments other than allopathic, including experimental and unproven treatments, will not be covered.

Add On Features of Health Gain Plan

  • Bonuses Guaranteed for a Year 
  • If the claim is made in an immediate policy year, the company waives the reduction of the Cumulative Bonus.
  • A reinstating of the base insurance amount is unlimited 
  • With this add-on feature, the base sum insured can be reinstated unlimited times in the event of an unrelated illness or injury, with a sub-limit of 100% of the base sum insured in the event of a related illness or injury. Nevertheless, this add-on feature will override the benefit of Reinstatement of the Base Sum Insured.
  • Coverage for consumables 
  • You can avail of coverage for consumables such as hand wash shoe covers, caps, cradle charges, and combs with this add-on benefit. 
  • There is a double cover 
  • The policy allows for a 100% increase in the base sum insured at the time of a single hospitalization after the policy's base sum insured has been exhausted.

Waiting Time For PEDs Reduced 

1. Pre-Existing Waiting Periods can be reduced to 12 or 24 months with this feature.

  • Deductible for voluntary aggregates - Depending on your choice, you can choose between INR 10K, INR 25K, INR 50K, and INR 1 lakh as the voluntary aggregate deductible.
  • Co-payments are no longer required - If the insured is over 61 years of age at the time of first entering the policy, this benefit waives the 20% co-payment requirement.
  • Cash for hospitals - In-patient hospitalization is covered by daily hospital cash, while ICU hospitalization is covered by 15 days. A 72-hour minimum hospital stay is required. A total of INR 1K, 1.5K, 2K & 2.5K is available under this plan under each of the daily cash options.
  • Limitation on pre- and post-hospitalization - A 90-day pre-hospitalization limit and a 180-day post-hospitalization limit can be increased with this add-on.
  • Ambulance service - An additional feature of this plan covers the costs of air transportation of patients from one location to another. If the base sum insured is more than INR 5 lakhs, the plan covers costs up to 7.5% of that sum.
  • Using a radio taxi - The radio taxi add-on will cover expenses incurred while the patient is being transferred from one location to another. Each hospitalization is covered by this benefit up to INR 1,000.
  • Treatment at home-A percentage of the SI is covered by the plan for medical expenses associated with the listed home treatments.
  • Companion Coverage - In addition, the plan covers compassionate travel expenses, including accommodation, transportation, food, and other incidentals incurred by the companion, for up to 30 days in total. In order to qualify for this benefit, you must be hospitalized for a minimum of 72 hours.
  • Coverage for childcare - Under Child Care Cover, the company will cover your children's costs in the event that you are hospitalized and unable to care for them at home. One dependent child covered under the plan up to 12 years of age is entitled to a fixed daily amount of INR 1K towards childcare expenses. It is necessary to stay in the hospital for a minimum of 72 hours.
