Inclusions Under Star Super Surplus Plan

  • There is a limit on the amount of maternity coverage offered. The plan covers up to Rs.50,000 for a C-section.
  • A portion of the Sum Insured for over Rs.10 lakh can be used for an air ambulance.
  • Transplants also cover the expenses of organ donors.
  • There is an offer to cover costs associated with pre- and post-hospitalization for 30 and 60 days, respectively.
  • All daycare procedures are covered by the plan.
  • After 36 months, pre-existing diseases are covered by the policy.

Exclusions Under Star Super Surplus Plan

  • Various warlike actions, civil wars, etc., caused disease or injury.
  • Suicide attempts or other self-inflicted injuries are subject to self-inflicted injury charges.
  • Weight loss procedures, such as bariatric surgery, are incurred at a cost.
  • As well, the treatment cost of sexually transmitted diseases is excluded from the coverage.
  • The costs of unconventional, untested, experimental, and unproven treatments are also excluded.

Yes, c-section delivery costs are covered. Moreover, this policy also covers postnatal and prenatal expenditures, as well as procedures like abortions. It is, however, possible to avail of a maximum of Rs.50, 000 per policy year for delivery-related expenses. Within the lifetime of the policyholder, the policy allows for two deliveries.
